What awaits you
The Liebenstein castle ruin is one of the striking places above the town. It looks back on a long history and is today an excursion destination, a meeting place for hikers and a frequent backdrop for cultural events.
The spa theatre was once built as a playhouse on the recommendation of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and handed over to the Liebenstein spa management in 1804. Since its anniversary year in 2004, it has once again been an integral part of cultural life.
The town is also worthwhile for families: the animal park is a green oasis on the edge of the town, and the Elisabeth Park invites you to linger quietly with its paths and benches.
